This webinar will enable State Weights and Measures staff to apply adult learning concepts and the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation process to internal on-the-job training (OJT) activities. Tools, resources, and examples will be provided.
At the end of this session, using the tools and resources provided, participants will be able to: Identify useful tools for conducting, evaluating, and documenting on-the-job training (OJT); Describe how the ADDIE model can be applied to OJT activities and describe how the 4-step skills based training model and SO-DO-TO methods can be used for hands-on measurement and inspection training; Discuss/Share ideas about current activities and experiences of what has worked/not worked regarding OJT; and Evaluate tools and examples for application to their W&M programs/responsibilities.

Training experience or facilitating OJT will be helpful, but not required.
Pre-reading assignments will be provided with guided notes for pre-work on ADDIE Model, Learning Objectives, 4-Step Skills Model, and SO-DO-TO methods.
Successful completion includes pre-work reading assignments, full attendance and participation in the session activities and discussion.
