We have organized two workshops on 3D and 2D Content Representation, Analysis and Retrieval at NIST
The 2nd Annual Workshop on 2D and 3D Content Representation, Analysis and Retrieval (May 01-02 2008)
The 2nd Annual Workshop on 2D and 3D Content Representation, Analysis and Retrieval was organized with the goal of bringing the various scientific research communities together to present their recent research on Image processing, image analysis, shape analysis, indexing, data mining, metadata, ontology, interoperability tools, benchmarks and evaluation methodologies
The First Workshop on 3D and 2D Content Representation, Analysis and Retrieval (April 23-25 2007)
The Workshop on 3D & 2D Content Representation, Analysis and Retrieval was organized with the goals of bringing the various scientific and computing research communities together to share perspectives and knowledge between the disciplines, and to increase communications among academia, industry and government. The workshop aims to define a research agenda for the future by identifying the gaps in the resources available for image content handling. These resources include 3D and 2D databases, evaluation methodologies, algorithms and interoperability tools. The workshop aims to identify the most appropriate role for government to play in this activity. The workshop will include keynote speakers and/or a panel discussion, to stimulate the development of recommendations. The workshop is supported by the SIMA program and the IDUS program at NIST.
