OpenASR20 and Low-Resource ASR Development Special Session at INTERSPEECH 2021

Call for Papers

We invite original results or studies on automatic speech recognition (ASR) technologies for low-resource languages to the OpenASR and Low-Resource ASR Development Special Session at INTERSPEECH 2021. Please find more specifics on this special session in the list of INTERSPEECH 2021 Special Sessions & Challenges.

We welcome contributions from participants in last year's NIST/IARPA OpenASR Challenge, IARPA MATERIAL participants, as well as anyone else working in the low-resource ASR problem space.

Papers for this special session must be submitted following the same schedule and procedure as INTERSPEECH 2021 main conference papers and will undergo the same review process by anonymous and independent reviewers. Please review the specifics of the submission procedure in the INTERSPEECH 2021 Call for Papers.

When submitting your paper, please make sure to select the OpenASR20 Special Challenge in the INTERSPEECH submission system.

Important Dates

  • March 26, 2021: Paper submission deadline
  • April 2, 2021: Paper update deadline
  • June 2, 2021: Notification of acceptance or rejection
  • June 15, 2021: Final paper due
  • August 31 - September 3, 2021: INTERSPEECH 2021
