At NIST, the Greenhouse Gas Measurements Program brings together researchers from our laboratories and divisions to address greenhouse gas measurement challenges.  The Special Programs Office will hold a program review with over 30 presentations, covering key areas of greenhouse gas measurements, namely:

  • Stationary or point source emission metrology (power plant smoke stack measurements)
  • Urban Test beds and geospatially distributed emission sources
  • Measurement tools, standards and reference data
  • Advanced satellite calibration methods and standards
  • Carbonaceous aerosol measurement science

The talks will highlight current status, research progress and challenges in these high priority areas.  All NIST staff are encouraged to attend.
