Kamie Roberts has just returned to NIST after serving six years as the director of the National Coordination Office (NCO) for the Networking and Information Technology Research and Development (NITRD) Program at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. The NITRD Program is the nation’s primary source of federally funded research and development in advanced information technologies. Roberts has served her entire career at NIST, covering a broad range of research from networking to big data to health IT and more. She earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics with a minor in computer science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science in computer science from George Washington University.
