Daniel Eliot is the chief communication and outreach strategist within MITRE’s National Cybersecurity Federally Funded Research and Development Center, supporting the NIST National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE). In addition to supporting NCCoE-wide communication efforts, Daniel supports several project portfolios in the areas of water/wastewater, migration to post-quantum cryptography, and identity. Previously, Daniel was the director of education & strategic initiatives at the National Cybersecurity Alliance (NCA). Daniel assembled the federal government, state and local governments, academia, and the private sector to discuss cutting-edge issues and create and implement high-quality, large-scale education and awareness efforts such as Cybersecurity Awareness Month, Data Privacy Day, and CyberSecure My Business.
