Aaron Rowane Receives 2026 Early Career Award from Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data

Aaron Rowane received the 2026 Early Career Award from the Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data for outstanding research in thermophysical properties and phase equilibria.

Early Career Award

The Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data (JCED) Early Career Award is presented annually to one outstanding early career scientist/engineer conducting experimental or computational research in thermophysical properties and phase equilibria.

More Information

The Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data recognizes Dr. Aaron Rowane of the NIST Material Measurement Laboratory as the winner of the 2026 JCED Early Career Award for outstanding research in thermophysical properties and phase equilibria. During his Ph.D. research at the University of London, Dr. Rowane contributed to the development of several instruments to measure the viscosity, density, phase behavior, and interfacial tension of diesel fuels and also in the presence of an inert gas at high-temperature, high-pressure conditions. At NIST, Dr. Rowane is continuing related efforts involving biodiesel + petro-diesel blends, and is involved in measurement of transport properties for refrigerant mixtures. Dr. Rowane will receive the award at a special virtual symposium organized by ACS Publications and JCED in May 2026.
