Microscopy and Microanalysis is an international microscopy journal published for the Microscopy Society of America (MSA) by Cambridge University Press. It is the official journal of the Microscopy Society of America, Microanalysis Society and several other societies (the Microscopical Society of Canada, the Mexican Microscopy Society, the Brazilian Society for Microscopy and Microanalysis, the Venezuelan Society for Electron Microscopy, the European Microbeam Analysis Society, the Australian Microscopy and Microanalysis Society, the Portuguese Society for Microscopy) and is published in affiliation with the Royal Microscopical Society, the German Society for Electron Microscopy, the Belgian Society for Microscopy and the Microscopy Society of South Africa. Each year the journal selects the best paper in 3 different categories: Materials Applications, Biological Applications, and Techniques and Equipment Development. The award will be presented to Dr. Oleshko on behalf of the team during the Monday morning Plenary Session on August 7th by Dr. Ian Anderson, President of MSA.
