Abstract
This book serves as a companion to IEEE Std 802.16, which defines the IEEE 802.16 WirelessMAN Standard for Wireless Metropolitan Area Networks. It provides an introduction and overview of the technology while explaining the rationale behind the choices made. It place the WirelessMAN technology in the context of other wireless and wireline networks. It will be useful as a standalone document as well as a companion text.Citation
