Abstract

An equation of state has been developed to model the phase equilibria of mixtures of water + organic solvents + salts. This modeis based on the Peng-Robinson equation of state and requires only pure fluid properties and binary interaction parameters an properties. A representative system water + acetone + 2-propanol + NaNO3 was used to test and verify the model. This paper focuses on data compilation and evaluation and methods used for fitting the parameters.
