Abstract

This manual is a users manual for the NIST DMIS Test Suite, version 2.2.1. DMIS (Dimensional Measuring Interface Standard) is a language for writing programs for coordinate measuring machines and other dimensional measurement equipment. The manual describes the directory structure of the Test Suite, how to download and install the Test Suite, and changes from version 2.1.5 (the most recent previous version). The manual also describes how to use four utilites in the Test Suite: dmisParser, dmisConformanceChecker, dmisConformanceRecorder, and dmisConformanceTester. In addition, the manual describes the parser test files and system test files included in the Test Suite. Finally, the manual describes the formal language, DEBNF, used to define the syntax of DMIS.
