Abstract

This repot descibes the translation of three groups of ontologies specified using the Frame variant of the Knowledge Interchange Format (KIF) language into information models specified using the EXPRESS information modeling language, as defined in International Standard ISO 10303-11:1994. This work has undertaken to explore the relationship between KIF/Frame and EXPRESS. From this work done to date the capabilities appear to be broadly similar but they differ in detail.
