Abstract

This paper describes an activity that has begun recently to develop an international standard for rectangular metallic waveguides and their interfaces for frequencies of 110 GHz and above. The IEEE's Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) is sponsoring the development of this standard. The MTT-S Standards Committee has set up the P1785 Working Group tasked with undertaking the work that is necessary to write this standard. This paper describes the work to date of this Working Group and the future activities that will be necessary to complete the standard.
