Abstract

The heat capacities of various phases and enthalpies of phase transitions of lithium bis((trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl)amide (LiNTf2) were measured by adiabatic calorimetry in the temperature range of (5 to 370) K and differential scanning calorimetry in the temperature range of (233 to 551) K. New phase transitions were identified in the supercooled high-temperature sequence of polymorphs. Thermodynamic functions were calculated using these data. The effect of water on the thermodynamic properties of this salt is discussed and gaps in the experimental data for (LiNTf2 + H2O) were identified.
