Abstract

ThermoData Engine (TDE) is the first and only full-scale software implementation of the dynamic data evaluation concept. The software provides critically evaluated thermochemical and thermophysical property values for pure compounds, binary mixtures, and chemical reactions based on published experimental data, prediction methods, and optional user supplied data. The present release (version 5.0) includes the application of thermodynamic consistency tests in the evaluation of vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) data. Details of the results for each of four tests (Herington, Point, Van Ness, and Infinite Dilution) are provided for each data set (i.e., isobar or isotherm). In addition, new tools, based on the capabilities of TDE, are provided to aid product design and experiment planning.
