Abstract

An introduction is given to a planned series of short summaries of international standards developed by Technical Committee 201 on Surface ChemicalAnalysis of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The purpose of these summaries is to inform scientists of the existence of these standards, to give information on the standard and its intended use, and to indicate where the full text of the standard can be obtained. An overview is also given of planned new standards currently being developed by ISO/TC 201.
