Abstract

A simple geometric argument is presented to account for the value of the measured critical exponent describing the development of anisotropy at the stability limit of sheared semi-dilute nanotube suspensions. The success of the models simplicity is linked to the interplay of concentration effects and attractive inter-particle interactions, highlighting the key physical factors that influence thetransition.
