Abstract
This paper identifies a set of manufacturing data interfaces that could be standardized for the effective computer integration of the information required to operate an apparel manufacturing enterprise. The interfaces are called Application Protocols. A method is described to use pieces of information, referred to as Unites of Functionality, as building blocks for designing Applications Protocols.
