Abstract

Presentation at 2013 Winter Annual Meeting of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), Dallas, Texas, January 27, 2013. The importance of fluid properties for heat transfer analysis in refrigeration applications is discussed. Models for thermodynamic and transport properties are summarized. The capabilities, structure, and future directions for the NIST REFPROP database are presented.
