Reducing Search Frustration on the World Wide Web

Abstract

Finding information on the World Wide Web can be a frustrating experience. One practical approach is taxonomy-based searching in which a taxonomy is created for a domain of interest, with domain resources entered into a database. This article describes one taxonomy-based approach, how it can be used, and instructions for adapting the technology to different domains.
