Abstract
The field of digital rights management (DRM) --also called intellectual property management and protection (IPMP)-- is today a swirling mix of technology, policy, law and business practice. There are many organizations active in the field. Under such circumstances, even a modest guide or index of active organizations can be useful. In March 2002, experts at a NIST cross-industry DRM workshop recommended that NIST take steps toward such a guide. With the help of numerous workshop participants and others, is the first edition of a DRM quick-reference list.
