Abstract
As public safety entities start to utilize broadband applications and services in their day to day operations, there develops a need to be able to provide these services no matter the incident location or situation. A solution for always providing these application and services is by having public safety bring with them their own broadband deployable system to incidents. One of the struggles in implementing a bring your own broadband program is the wireless connectivity between user equipment. This presentation will describe the current use case scenario for public safety and what they currently do today, the problem presented by utilizing several different standards for wireless access, and a brief path forward in how to deal with the faults in the two primary technologies LTE and WiFi.
