Abstract

This document specifies the ISO 10303 application protocol (AP) Edition 2 for the exchange of spatial configuration information of process plants, plant systems and ship systems. This includes shape characteristics, spatial arrangement characteristics, and design and fabrication information for piping system components. This also includes functional, physical and spatial information for HVAC (heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning) system and design and installation and for mechanical system design and installation. This document describes the scope and information requirements for AP 227 Edition 2 and provides the Application Activity Model (AAM), Application Reference Model (ARM), and Application Interpreted Model (AIM) for the AP. The document follows the format clause numbering scheme prescribed for this type of International Organization for Standarization (ISO) standard. The Plant Spatial Configuration Application Protocol, Edition 2 has been approved by ISO TC184/SC4 as an ISO Draft International Standard document and will be submitted to ISO to be published as an ISO International Standard.
