Abstract

Coherent dynamics of rotational wave packets in two Li2 electronic states are manipulated using phase-tailored femtosecond pulses. A shaped preparation pulse simultaneously creates wave packets in the A{1ςu+) electronic states, subsequently ionized using a second time-delayed pulse. Concurrent phase control of rotational beats in both electronic states is demonstrated.
