Abstract
This document provides comprehensive information about the LEIDIR prototype automatic hypertext generation system, developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in collaboration with Social Security Administration (SSA). The system creates a hypertext version of the Program Operations Manual (POMS) from the familiar CDROM distribution.This document is organized as follows: Introduction to the LEIDIR system, how it works, and the advantages it offers; Description of resources required by the system, including other software; Installation Guide; User Guide; Description of the directory structure used by the system; Documentation of the purpose and operation of each system module.
