Abstract
Relative intensities and translational ion-flux energy distributions are presented for negative ions sampled from Townsend discharges in O2, SF6, and CF4 for a high range of density reduced electric fields greater than 2 W 10-18 V m2 (> 2 kTd). These results are discussed in light of relevant ion-molecule reactions where available.
