Abstract

The NVLAP Directory of Accredited Laboratories is published annually and provides a listing of laboratories accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP). Over 800 accreditations in 25 fields of testing and calibration are included in the 2002 edition of the Directory. The Directory lists the name, address, contact person, phone and fax numbers, e-mail and URL addresses, accreditation renewal date, and scope of accreditation for each accredited laboratory. Also included is a description of the NVLAP program, a summary of accreditations, and user instructions, followed by 6 laboratory indexes that are cross-referenced by NVLAP Lab Code: 1) Listing by Laboratory Name, 2) Listing by Field of Accreditation, 3) Listing by State/Country, 4) Listing of Testing Laboratories by NVLAP Lab Code, 5) Listing of Calibration Laboratories by NVLAP Lab Code, and 6) Listing of Chemical Calibration Laboratories by NVLAP Lab Code. The Scopes of Accreditation are provided in the last three indexes. Current accreditation status of participating laboratories may be verified by contacting NVLAP.
