Abstract
Full wave finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) and a simplified 1D- finite-difference time-domain technique using the multi-conductor transmission line equations are applied to a delay line to determine its propagation characteristics. The output volatge waveform is calculated using the two methods and the results are compared to those obtained by two commercially available finite element codes and two method of moment codes. Radiated fields from this structure are also included for the different numerical approaches.
