Abstract

Kinetics of polymer phase separation has been briefly reviewed. This is a section on this subject for Encyclopedia of Materials: Science and Technology. This section includes summary of sinodal decomposition, critical temperature shift under shear flow, phase separation with shearquench, and nucleation and growth for binary polymer mixtures.
