Abstract

The globalization of manufacturing and construction markets is broadening the range of inspection standards that might be specified for a product, and we should prepare by learning more about the various organizations that develop such standards. The paper describes the International Organization for Standarization (ISO), several national and international standard organizations, and their interactions during the development and revision for nondestructive testing (NDT).
