Abstract

We present three ongoing research projects (funded by NST and NIST) on behalf of the Interactive Visual Computing Lab at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. This lab exhibition presentation summarizes the design challenges we are currently addressing and some of our recent outcomes and results. We also share what we have learned in designing VE or large display experiences for scientific computing that uniquely address goals related to knowledge discovery and insight formation in big-data sciences in brain imaging, biological pathway analysis and physics-data visualizations.
