Abstract

Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME) has become one of the new hot topics in materials science and engineering in recent years, and worldwide numerous conferences and symposia have been dedicated to this topic. In the report of the National Research Council of the National Academies the CALPHAD method is identified as an important basic ICME tool.
