Abstract

As I complete my fifth and final year as chair of SSPC 189.1, Design of High-Performance Green Buildings, indulge me while I reflect on how this standard and other green building programs have dealt with indoor environmental quality. I have spent my 35+ year career focused on indoor air quality, including many years of involvement in Standard 62.1 Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality before getting involved in Standard 189.1.
