Abstract

The Hilbert-Huang Transform (HHT) is a relatively new entrant into the field of time-frequency analysis. Despite its youthfulness, HHT is quickly growing in acceptance as an every-increasing volume of successful applications becomes known. One key to this success is a conspicuous ability to analyze nonlinear, non-stationary signals. This poster will outline recent progress made in the Manufacturing Metrology Division in applying HHT to machine tool condition/health monitoring.
