Abstract

Guided data capture software (GDC 4.0) is software for structured capture of experimental thermophysical and thermochemical property data for molecular chemical systems involving one, two, and three components, and chemical reactions. Property values are captured with a strictly hierarchical system based upon rigorous application of the thermodynamic constraints of the Gibbs phase rule with full traceability to source documents. Key features of this new version include, 1) generation of output files in ThermoML format, 2) special features for capture of data related to ionic liquids, and 3) comprehensive capture of uncertainty information in full compliance with the Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (the GUM).
