Abstract
This document is the Final Report for the Interagency Agreement between the National Institute of Justice, Office of Justice Programs and the National Institute of Standards and Technology. The goal of this effort has been to research and develop quantitative methods for two-dimensional footwear evidence assessment to assist examiners by providing empirical support for their findings. The effort's purpose has been to provide a path forward for footwear impression evidence evaluation that focuses additional attention on the body of available empirical information.Citation
