Abstract
Withdrawn by author - 11/10/97Horizontal standard lamps calibrate the spectral irradiance responsivity of spectroradiometers which measures solar ultraviolet irradiance. Experience at field instrument intercomparisons suggested several important requirements for these calibrations, which are satisfied by field calibration and power supply units described in this paper. Assessments of these units at two field instruments intercomparisons indicate that the horizontal standard lamps, field calibration unit, and power supply operate within the design tolerances, making them suitable for performing routine calibrations in the field of most ultraviolet monitoring spectroradiometers.Citation
