Abstract
This document is a compilation of presentations given by the speakers at Electronic Book '98: Turning a New Page in Knowledge Management, held October 8-9, 1998, at NIST in Gaithersburg, MD. This world's first conference on electronic books featured a number of topics relevant to the emerging electronic book industry, including: standards and interoperability; electronic book designs, display technology, battery technology, publishers' concerns, and electronic book accessibility for the visually impaired.
