Abstract

We have designed and built a portable integrating sphere source to be used at NASA satellite sensor calibration facilities in support of the EOS calibration validation program. The source is designed to complement existing detector-based radiance validation methodologies over the spectral range from 400 nm to 2500 nm, giving us extra flexibility in implementing the EOS calibration validation program. Details of the design and operation of the portable source will be presented and discussed.
