Abstract

Results of a customer survey taken at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Library indicated that researchers wanted to become more involved in Library journal selection and cancellation decisions. Because of this and also because of the increasing costs of journal subscriptions, the NIST Library decided to ask its researchers to name their most important core journals necessary for their research. The procedures for formulating a core journal list for the Library of the National Institute of Standards and Technology is described.
