Abstract

Zero-field 63,65Cu nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra were obtained at 1.3 K for powdered samples of Y1-xCaxBa2Cu3Oy with 0 less than or equal to} x less than or equal to} 0.20. The results for the deoxygenated samples (y = 6.05) demonstrate the existence of an internal magnetic field at the Cu(2) planar sites for Ca content x less than or equal to} 0.20, and provide insight into the coexistence of superconductivity and antiferromagnetic correlations as a function of hole doping in the CuO2 planes due to Ca substitution.
