Abstract

The National Institute of Standards and Technology's Building and Fire Research Laboratory (NIST/BFRL), one of NIST's measurements and standards laboratories, provides the measurement technologies, performance prediction methods, and technical advances needed to enhance the competitiveness of U.S. industry and public safety, and assure the life cycle quality and economy of constructed facilities. This report summarizes selected technical accomplishments and staff recorgnitions and describes activities conducted by the Laboratory during FY 1999. Also, the report presents BFRL's organization and customer interactions.
