BACnet Today- Significant new features and future enhancements

Abstract

The BACnet communication protocol standard is maintained by a standing committee of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and air-conditioning Engineers under continuous maintenance procedures. Since its original publication in 1995 there have been five addenda approved. A new consolidated version of the standard was published in 2001. This article describes the changes to the standard that have been made through this continuous maintenance process.
