Abstract
This paper focuses on findings from comprehensive studies of steel truss bridge gusset plate behavior and proposes practical design procedures. The studies include comparisons of analytical models to responses from large-scale experimental tests from discrete and innovative full field measurements. The paper shows that there is considerable consistency between the experimental data and analytical solutions.
