Abstract
Here we highlight recent advancements in informatics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence as applied to the fields of polymer physics and chemistry. In particular, we focus on the unique challenges presented by polymers and how the field is attempting to solve them. We also discuss some advances in other fields of science (hard materials, chemistry) and how these advances might be leveraged for polymer studies. Finally, we provide an outlook for the field and highlight important areas for growth in polymer informatics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
