Abstract
The American Ceramic Society 103rd annual meeting & exposition took place from April 22-25, 2001, at the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome of Indianapolis. The meeting was well attended - with approximately 2700 attendees including many from other countries. A wide-range of topics was addressed to meet the needs of the ceramics community. The program was comprised of approximately 1400 scientific papers (about 1150 oral presentations) distributed among 17 symposia, division programs, panel discussions, and lecturers. A brief description of both the scientific and social program of this meeting is given in this report.
