Ms. Thwel is a 2026 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program Intern at the NIST Office of Weights and Measures (OWM) Metric Program.
Ms. Thwel is a student at University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland pursuing a bachelor's degree in technology and information design. Passionate about creating compelling content, she enjoys working collaboratively with others to bring creative ideas to life. With a strong interest in the visual and communicative aspects of design, Ms. Thwel aspires to become an art director in the future.
Ms. Thwel is focused on researching ways to improve OWM communications, expand (SI) education publications, and enhance website content.

- Supporting hands-on STEM activities for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) and NIST Summer Institute for Middle School Science Teachers educator participants.
