Yan Li (IntlAssoc)

Yan Li received a B.S. in physics and mathematics from the University of Toronto. She is now working on a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Maryland with Garnett Bryant. Her theoretical research is focused on the many-body physics exhibited by dopant arrays in silicon that can be observed by quantum simulation. She has identified phases for quantum magnetism in these arrays, including Nagaoka ferromagnetism and three-electron ferromagnetism. Currently she is investigating the many-body physics of these arrays when a magnetic field is applied, investigating the correspondence with effects like the quantum Hall physics of extended systems.
