Mr. Timothy Rasinski is a NVLAP program manager in the Product Testing Programs. He is a NVLAP lead assessor and has been performing management system assessments since 2002.
Mr. Rasinski joined the NVLAP staff in March of 2009 as a program manager in the Fasteners and Metals and Product Testing Programs. He is responsible for the Carpet and Carpet Cushion, Thermal Insulation Materials, Energy Efficient Lighting Products, Efficiency of Electric Motors, Wood Based Products, and Construction Materials disciplines in the Product Testing Program. From September 2006 to March 2009, he worked at MET Laboratories of Baltimore, MD, and Santa Clara, CA, an electrical and mechanical testing lab, where he was the quality manager responsible for maintaining the laboratory's accreditations to ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 17020, and ISO/IEC Guide 65. From June 2001 to September 2006, he worked at the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) in the calibration and mechanical testing accreditation programs and is an approved ISO/IEC 17025 quality system auditor. He taught math, science, and computers in the Maryland public school system for 12 years and was a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
Mr. Rasinski serves on the ASTM Cement Committee, C01; Concrete and Concrete Aggregates Committee, C09; Thermal Insulation Committee, C16, Road and Paving Materials Committee, D04, Textile Committee, D13, and Soil and Rock Committee, D18. He is an associate member of the IES (Illuminating Engineering Society) and has also served on the ASTM Quality and Statistics Committee, E11, and the ANSI Accreditation Committee.
