Department of Commerce Bronze Medal Award

Awarded to a team for the transformation and modernization of the Research Library's main room and Makerspace service. The converted areas are designed with intention to augment different types of work behaviors and environments while emphasizing an inclusive mindset. With user input as a primary factor, the outcomes provide functional, inviting, and flexible options for all people at NIST to accomplish critical work and build community. 

Department of Commerce Bronze Medal Award

Awarded to a team for deploying a unified library platform that transforms how staff find and use information.  The team deployed a cloud-based library platform that supports over 400,000 library searches each year, through rigorous planning, training, and data and process migration from four disparate legacy systems. The outcome provides a robust single interface that connects users to almost half a million physical and electronic information resources and provides improved discovery, accuracy, and capabilities to support NIST.
